Château Pibran - Pauillac 2014 (750ml) Montepulciano d'AbruzzoChteau Pibran 2014 has a beautiful deep purple colour. Its open bouquet is composed of scents of very ripe red fruit, caramel and then hints of menthol. On the palate the wine is fruity, well balanced and powerful in the attack. It has a long, fresh finish ending with peppery notes. Blend: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

The difference between this and a more massive St-Emilion is subtle for sure - it's unquestionably on the dark fruit register - but you notice it in the way that the tannins respond and bounce rather than stiffen up in the mouth
