There is surface deformation and the cleavage plane is obvious. This is a carving grade stone. The surfaces are abraded, there are internal inclusions and was deemed not suitable for gemstone faceting. This stone came from a ranch in the west central area of Mason county. This stone is NOT facet

A faint inclusion is at about 8:00

It is suspended from an 18 inch sterling cable chain

and the gem is approximately 4mm in diameter

At 25 gm this clear topaz  piece is very typical of the natural topaz in the alluvial deposits in the western central portion of Mason County

The top gem is a Holley Blue agate from Oregon

with the remainder of the pendant made in sterling silver
