Large Textural Seascape by Robert Ixer - Oil On Canvas. Antiquarian BooksA wonderful textural oil on canvas depicting a rocky shoreline, signed 'Robert Ixer'. Robert Ixer was born in London in 1941. He studied at the South East Essex Art School and the St. Martins School of Art. Upon leaving school he worked for six years in the studios of various leading London Advertising Agencies. Disillusioned with the commercial world he rejected it all and became a pavement artist outside Londons National Gallery. During this period

and the concealed button remaining concealed under the lithograph

Both the decanter and stopper are free from chips and cracks

The table has a small amount of warping to fold over lid and has some marks commensurate with age (please see photographs) but remains in a very good condition overall

The coffer sits on raised legs and has a moulded panel lid
