It does benefit from an extra preparation step (see here) You will need to use Procion MX/Fiber reactive dyes on this yarn

The Yak provides a warm undertone to the dyeing on this yarn

but you can speckle on it more so than some of the other fluffy bases

so to err on the side of caution we haven’t recommended it for this purpose

This knits up into a lovely fabric which is super soft against the skin

We recommend acid dyes for this yarn as the bamboo does not impact on the dye-ability using this type of dye
