Art Deco Carved Parrot Wall Sconce Shelf, c.1930. Full CatalogueA very decorative carved wooden parrot wall sconce of bold stylised form, c. 1930. The shelf has a few mark commensurate with age but generally remains in a very good condition overall and boasts its original finish. The rear has two holes to enable close fixture the wall. Pull-out letter to the rear of the book remains in a very good condition and firmly attached

The case also remains in an excellent condition with all hinges and clasps functioning as they should

Ink inscription to front free endpaper of Volume I

'Asprey London' is embossed in gilt to the left interior

and as such has permanent rainbow tarnish to the centre of the image

The oil is finely painted with a wonderful iridescence to Juliet's dress in particular
